Zepeto metaverse – a South Korea-based project operated by Never Z – has inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with True Corporation (a digital services and telecommunications provider based in Thailand) to enhance the Metaverse ecosystem.

True and Zepeto Metaverse Start a Strategic Collaboration

With the utilization of the platform of Zepeto, True will have the capability of offering a future-based online-to-offline atmosphere to advocate for the soft power of Thailand in content creation within the world of the Metaverse. The parties did not provide any particular business details regarding the respective collaboration.

As per Zepeto, it has several million consumers as well as nearly five hundred thousand content creators operating on the venue within the jurisdiction of Thailand. It elaborated that the K-pop content of the venue, like the partnership with a girl group named Blackpink, will assist in the expansion of its popularity within the country.

Zepeto Metaverse Begins Blockchain-based Endeavor with Solana

Never Z is a sub-brand of Never (an internet giant working in South Korea). It recently reported having more than 20M monthly average users (MAU). According to the platform, 95% of them are millennials as well as generation Z external to Korea. Recently, the reports pointed out that Zepeto collaborated with Jump Crypto (a web3 developer) as well as Solana for the construction of ZepetoX (a Metaverse project based on cryptocurrency).

The project ZepetoX will create a venue based on a 3D open world. With this, the customers and creators will be capable of playing, constructing, and collecting profits through blockchain technology. The status of the project will be that of a formal blockchain-based venture. The benefit to be provided to the consumers via this project will be the monetization of their operations on the venue through the possession of digital assets.

In December previous year, South Korean Never Z Corporation collected up to 223.5B worth of Korean won (nearly US$189M) in a funding round of Series B. That fundraising took into account the investments made by Mirae Asset, K-pop’s 3 biggest talent agencies (HYBE, YG Entertainment, and JYP), and SoftBank.

In 2018’s August, the Zepeto metaverse of Never Z was introduced and got famous among teenagers across the globe. Mr. Birathon – considered the core figure within the partnership between True and Zepeto – mentioned that the discussion between both the parties have been initiated just some months back and resulted in shared visions.
